3" lift with 4" shocks...

Like the topic says, would it be a bad/stupid idea to run 3"coils with 4"shocks? (I know this is somewhere in the wayalife forum, but from long ago). I want more flex, without adding more lift. I will be running 35"s when I get a 3" coil lift.
(I am currently running a 3" coil spacer lift on 33"s)
Just curious thanks.

You need to cycle your suspension, measure everything and then match the bumpstop length to those numbers and the shock extended and compressed lengths. You also need to consider the spring free length and compressed length.

I just did mine after fitting 2" spring and I've ordered the 330 & 331 rancho 9Ks. Rear bumpstop will be 10mm. Fronts I'm looking at relocating the lower shock mount and 1.5" bumpstop. Your setup will be different

If your shocks are intended for a 4in lift, and your coils are for 3" of lift, your coil will likely come unseated when you are fully flexed. Just another thought to consider.
