Detroit area trails?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and live in Canada, across the river from Detroit, MI. I'm looking to explore some new trails and am hoping you can point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated.

There are a few but none are close to the Detroit area. About 45 minutes north is "The Mounds" but my favorite is 2 hours north of Detroit "Rocks and Valleys" in Harrison.

There is also Bundy hill west of the D just south of Jackson

Thanks guys. Are those private trails or public? Where is rocks and valleys in Harrison?

Mounds is state run and you need an ORV license, R&V and bundy are private and just a flag after you pay entrance. All of them are fun! Don't go alone and beware how deep the water can be.
I used to go solo and tag along with random people, most there are very cool.

If you like to play in the sand dunes, Silver Lake State Park is fun. About 3.5 hrs from Detroit though.
