Did this thing come off of my Jeep?

So while traveling for work, my wife sent me some pictures (sorry, not like that) of some broken thing my son found in the garage.

I have no clue what it is but it looks intricate, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't something that broke off my JK without me being aware of it. Look familiar to any of you?

Btw, it is about 1/4" or 1/2" wide.

End off an extension for a ratchet. Or end off a breaker bar.

The part the socket fits onto.

Nice catch, thanks! Didn't think about tools. Sure enough yup, I had a cheap 1/2 to 3/8 adapter break on me just before I left.

That goes to your oil pump. You have about 100 miles before self-destruction. Might want to trade the Jeep in for a Prius prior to the explosion.
