A/C won't stay on after restart

Of course now that the warranty has expired, the AC is acting up. I run the AC but when I shut down for more than 10 minutes, the AC light doesn't stay on and blows hot air after restarting. I have basic manual AC controls. Has anyone experienced this with a diagnosis? Thanks in advance.

Check the clutch on your compressor

Update

Sucked it up and went to the dealership. They flashed an update to the hvac system with no luck. The service manager told them to change the AC control unit. He said it forgets the last setting prior to shutdown and restart. Low and behold he was right. All fixed.
