Atlas 2-Speed TC before running 37's?

I plan on running 37's soon (currently at 35) and my buddy told me to put in an Atlas before I get 37's. I've got 4.88 gears right now as well. Does he have a good point, or can I pull the trigger on the the bigger tires?

An Atlas isn't needed to run 37's.

An atlas is not a requirement to run 37s but will be a huge improvement over your Sport transfer case. You may also want to look into finding a rubicon transfer case. If money is not an issue, either or would be better than the Sport t-case, due to its high gear ratio.

Thanks for the input. I'll continue with the 37's for now. I do want to go atlas in the future, but have other stuff to get to first.

I have 37s and 4.88s with the Sport TC. No problems and plenty of climbing power! I don't plan on changing until I break it, and I don't expect this to happen.
