Rust!!!

So the rust on my 2014 jku hinges got worse and have actually bubbled in multiple places without break paint. Yet. Has any one got this covered by factory warranty or will that be unlikely? And if so would they still paint over the torx bolts that were painted at factory? Hmmm we shall see how this goes. Thanks for any help.

I know plenty of people have had that fixed under warranty on the early JKs. I though they had fixed that problem

It's probably because the factory forgot to put used engine oil on the steel before they painted it.

My '08 JKU Rubicon that I bought new had this same problem. They replaced two sets of hinges under warranty, both were part of a TSB at the time. Sounds like this si still an issue for some people. I did live in northern VA at the time where they used salt on the roads in the winter. Haven't had any problems out here in AZ.
