JK Rubicon axle question?

Is the rear JK Rubicon D44 a c-clip or semi float? I have never opened mine and have no clue. I would like to know whether to get a c-clip eliminator kit or if it's not needed. Thanks in advance.

If it's a c-clip, eliminate it. If it's a semi float, leave it alone.

Never heard of a c clip in a rear d44. They are semi float shafts. Maybe your thinking of the c clips for the u joints on the front shafts?

Yes all stock rear d44's in all model JK's are semi floats.

First D44 so I have no clue. Only ever had D35 or jumped up to full float D60. Appreciate the help.

And No there are no C clips. The axle is held in by a retainer plate behind the axle flange.
