Camera question

Caught the Bug
I did my first off-road, 4 wheeling this past weekend and had a great time. I found that while I had excellent guidance from the spotters, losing sight of what's ahead in my path was a bit disconcerting. Do any of you guys run cameras to assist in determining your line through the obstacles? If so, which ones?

Thanks

Just takes time and getting comfortable with your vehicle. Once you get the feel for it you will be able to maneuver through obstacles easily. Very aggressive stuff you will always want a spotter.

Man, I love having a spotter. Honestly I'd much rather have one than a camera as I would think a camera would keep your eyes off the him too much. Plus he has a completely different perspective than you do and see the whole big picture in front of you. You'd have a limited view with a camera I would think.

Most of those "Trail camera" systems are just a bunch of cheaper cams put together as a kit that could cost you WAY less if you took the time to wire it, or have someone else you know do it for a smaller fee.

As others stated, id rather have a set of human eyes in front of me to see my line.

The Offroad sites show these "Kits" for $700+, Ive looked around and found the same parts for much cheaper
Here is a four camera monitor - https://amzn.com/B019U4ZZMY - $80
Some small cameras - https://amzn.com/B01AAARUKM - $36/pair
Or a whole set in one - https://amzn.com/B00GGM6KL4 - $200

These cameras could be mounted under the body looking at the axles, and the monitor would go great above the rear view mirror.

Though, having a trail buddy is much more fun.
