Normal?

This is my first Jeep with a manual transmission. Is it normal for the shifter to bounce around on less than smooth roads? Mine moves quite a bit.

Yes, it bothered me a first too.
Mine is all over the place even on the freeway.

Yea, it is normal. Mine bounces around too. I'm always afraid it's gonna smack my dog's face but it hasn't happened yet.

I guess I'll learn to live with it. It's much better now that I have decent tires on it. The right front was cupped really bad and the stick really danced around.
