When you left the lot, what'd you pay?

Hi all

So, I've been on the prowl for a 2012+ JKU recently and thought I'd see what everyone has been able to negotiate for their Jeep. I've noticed (and this may be the time of year) that new and used Jeep's don't fluctuate very much.

For example, I found a used 2014 JKU Sport with 10k miles at my local dealership and they were asking $33.9k. Then, about 30 mi down the road, I found a brand new 2016 JKU Sport for $33.8k! (power everything, '16 had the Alpine stereo) It blows my mind just how much these vehicles hold their resale. In hopes to get some raw, un-manipulated feedback about this subject, I thought I'd ask the forum what they ended up paying for their Jeep post-negotiation.

Thanks in advance!

About 7 months ago I paid $32,000 for my wife's 38,000 mile 2014 JKUS with 2.5" RK springs and 35" TG's on Fuel wheels. Not my first choice of wheels but she's happy. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1470520681.940336.jpg

Back in 2013 when I bought mine, I too was finding that used were almost as much as new. Also at the time I got a 1.9% interest rate. I get a affiliate discount through work so I ended up paying $28,000 for my JKU. I made sure to get the max tow package and hard top. It came with the alpine system and flor mats but went with basic options otherwise since I knew I was changing almost everything.

In the PH I paid around $44,000 (2M PHP) to get my Sport. Thats a V6 3.6L Sport 2016. the Diesel 2.8L is around $68,000 (2.8M Pesos)

A Rubicon Diesel 2.8L cost $75,000 (3.4M PHP) here. Unfortunately they stopped supplying V6 Rubicons here in favor of Diesel.

If you're looking for something newer, say within the last 2 or 3 years... Then you're definitely better off buying new. I bought my first JKUR in 2012 and paid about $38k. I drove it for 2 years and put almost 30,000 miles on it and got $33,500 as a trade in.

The only exception to this is if you were able to find a good deal on one that was being sold by a private party, you'd be able to avoid paying sales tax and may find one thats been modified to your liking

I got my 2014 JKUR new and paid 36k before tax and license. I was in the same boat as you. I wanted a 2012 plus for the 3.6 and the used ones I found were all mid 30's, so I bought new. I used USAA car buying that is similar to truecar.com
