I know a few pros of doing this for a bumper, but I have heard that cutting these parts can constitute as frame damage and will lower a trade in value or resale. I would love to hear everyone's input, or if you've had any experience with this or what bumpers you guys have that are still quality and don't need to cut anything.
Having just done this a few weeks ago i can say it's a bit nerve wracking. And looking back i can say a few pro's and con's so far.
Pros: better approach angle, better wheel clearance, IMHO a better looking front end with the bumper tucked closer
Cons: limited to which bumpers you can run (i run the crawler conceptz skinny), could be considered frame damage (was curious about trading mine in afterwards and they didn't seem to care or mention it, could just be that dealer though), a little harder putting a winch on.
Comes down to how sure you are about wanting that bumper and the extra clearance.
Here's mine
