Folks,
I've got a 12 foot kayak, looking for a decent way to carry it. My plan is a light bar and one of those extend-a-bed hitch things. I'd like to be able to remove the light bar when I'm not planning to hit the water, so about the only option out there seems to be the Warrior Safari front light bar.
So two questions for the board hive-mind:
1) Anybody got this thing on their rig to offer an opinion?
2) Any other options you can think of? $200 seems a little ridiculous for a bent tube and a couple of welded plates. I try to make one myself, if only I knew how to weld.
