Shock length

I have a 2013 wrangler with a 2 1/2 inch lift and I need to replace shocks but the rancho has them for 2 inch and 4 inch lift. Can you use 4 inch lift shocks on a 2 1/2 lift

It really depends on your bumpstops. To get a concrete answer, you need to take some measurements and determine if the collapsed length of the shock is less than the length of travel until you hit the bumps. If so, good to go.
