Smittybilt is just one of many brands that's made under the Transamerica banner and more recently, they've been gearing up to be more of an "overlanding" arm of the company. Here are a few shots of the Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited they brought out to the 2016 SEMA show and as you'll see, it comes complete with their new hard top. They've also brought out the trailer they've been working on for a while now.

What would you need to store in the top of a fender?
Typical shitty welds on the skins. I have to say the trailer looks pretty cool though.

I hope that trailer comes with different tent options. That side o' plastic looks like a disaster waiting to happen. :yup:

Maybe it was just for display at SEMA?

I like the storage in the fender but damn it's ugly as sin lol See through tent walls will definitely get someone arrested for indecent exposure lmao

Im sure there was a lot of R&D here and that is what they settled on?

Seems they are trying to make JK into a Land Rover Defender. My defender had the same roof line with skylights, same storage in the fenders, step etc to get access to the roofrack and finally the "washing line" from the hood to roofrack.

Oh man! I saw Conquer prolly earlier this year but hadn't realized they were in the US. I love those trailers

Glad I could help, the designers all worked as engineers during the Angolan war, so they are designed with the same mindset, to work right and to be able to survive everything Africa throws at them. Mine has been to hell and back. When the 4x4's break, these trailers just keep on going.

Those welds look like dog shit :grayno: Also storage in a fender? Hope you don't have anything in that fender when you rub to close to a tree or a big rock. I like my flimsy cut oem fenders, when the trail gets tight they either flex or pop off lol.

As far as overlanding goes I'm sure this thing would do just fine. Anything else, not so much
