Aftermarket radiator overflow issue

I replaced my stock radiator with a mishimoto all aluminum higher capacity radiator. I am having issues of over flow on short trips. I've replaced the hoses with Mishimoto's silicon hoses and am using double claps. I have no leaks. A retired mechanic friend says it is probably the cap not holding the pressure. The Mishimoto cap is 20 psi. The comperable cap is for a 2007 to 2011 Subaru Impressa. I bought that cap and it is 18 psi. My only thing left us the thermostat, however my Jeep is not getting too hot. It reads normal temp. Anybody else had problems with a high cap, after market radiator? And what was the solution? Thanks.

take a black light and double check all your hoses / radiator and under carriage.

Anti-Freeze will glow under a black light

Stant makes 20psi caps
