Hockey puck bump stop?

Short and sweet. I've purchased new shocks with a shorter up stroke. Is there any problem with adding a hockey puck in addition to the 2" bump stop I already have? Thanks.

Nope shouldn't be any issues. Out of curiosity how much bump and lift are you currently running?

I was actually just trying to figure this out as well, and I've spent all morning going around town and can not find any hockey pucks for the life of me. No hockey pucks in Yuma Arizona? Who woulda guessed

I've thought about using hockey pucks for my bump stops in the rear because mine are too big. Does anyone have any pictures of hockey pucks in the rear? And how do you mount them? Drill a hole in the middle and bolt them on?

Liquid nails worked for mine. I was worried about accidentally drilling into the rear axle tube.

I did use a self tapping screw on the front.

I bought my pucks on Amazon. Couldn't find them in my AZ town either. [emoji23]

Do you not have issues with the factory bumpstop missing the puck. Kinda seems a rectangular pad and bumpstop was created for a reason

No, not when I've checked a few times flexed out.

This thread has my WJ pictures toward the end of the thread with how I did my rear coils. I did it without removing the coils. I used RightStuff 1Minute RTV. I could only fit one in at a time. I did two total. They've been on there for several months. To keep them from falling while the glue dried, I just wedged random objects in there and left it overnight. I got the pucks on eBay. I got 6 used for under 10 bucks.

I used hockey pucks for the front on mine. Drilled a hole in the middle of them and recessed the top puck to hide the bolt head. Drilled a hole in the spring perch then used a pretty long grade8 bolt and lock nut to fasten it down.

This is the only picture of the front puck I could find. IMG_1479585690.339515.jpg

The rear, I fabbed a metal bump stop. The pucks are strong enough though, you could probably drill a hole on the opposite sides of the pucks and bolt them down to the rear mount. For obvious reasons you can't do a center hole cause the axle will not allow it.
