Detroit e-locker

I have Detroit elocker in my rear Dana 44. It engages and engages electrically as it should. However, on occasion it is locker when I start up vehicle, I have to engage and then disengage to release it. Any thoughts?

Should say "it is locked when I start up the vehicle"

A short,?? Check the wiring going into the axle housing that would be my best guess but... Other would know better than I could

I run the Elocker and haven't had that problem. If your relay is hanging up it could stay engaged. I would check the wiring at the relay and switch. If you are shorting I would think the wiring at the switch could be where the problem is. The wiring at the axle would not cause the locker to engage but it could keep it from engaging.

Thanks guys. I will check switches on pillar. Have had water near that area from the freedom top.
