Temporary spare tire sollution

Hey all, Im looking for advice or some ideas on a temporary solution to mount my spare tire (35x12.50x17 nitto) on to the factory spare tire carrier until my new carrier comes in. I can get it on the tailgate just fine, but it wont clear the bumper. I dont like the idea of just strapping in to the cargo area (two kids in the backseat every day) and I dont want to just leave it at home. Im a couple weeks away from getting an upgraded carrier so I dont want to spend a ton of cash for a temp fix.

Any ideas. Also running stock wheels.

They make a spacer thing for this exact purpose, just make sure you extend the rubber isolators so that the tire does not move.

Air it down a bit, then put it on.
I have done this with a 315/70-17 and it worked.
35" might be a tad larger , but worth a try, its free
