99 WJ 4.0 tranny shifting issues

I was heading about an hour from home. And after about ten miles it wouldn't shift into overdrive. After some tinkering with the od switch and a stop sign. It was in and out of overdrive. Then I got to my destination and shut it off. After I restarted it wasn't wanting to shift properly. Almost like slipping. Fluid is full and clean, not burnt. Could this be a dirty valve body issue or solenoid issue?

So, I drove it some more. It started jumping out of 2nd and staying in first. Then the CEL came on. I pulled the code and it was p0720 output speed sensor.

Easy fix. Its the white sensor drivers side of the trans towards the rear. Just screws into the side of the transmission.
