Smittybilt air compressor

Received the 5.65 CFM for Christmas. It states that you can hard wire it. Has anyone done this? Where did you mount it? Seems pretty bulky to go under the hood.

Being that it comes with a carrying case, etc, I wouldn't hard wire it. Sure you could, but it would be easier IMO to just move it with you while you air up your tires. If you do hard wire it, just put a proper fuse inline on the positive side. And keep the compressor away from anything you don't want to get hot, compressors put out a lot of heat, especially those little ones.
