Transfer case

Front shaft seal on transfer case is not leaking trans fluid, but spitting out grease. How does one fix that seal. I would appreciate any tips. Thanks.

Grease must be coming from your CV joint on drive shaft. No grease in transfer case, only ATF fluid.

So it's the joint going out then? The way the splatter is, it threw me off. It's been awhile, but if I remember right joints are not to hard replace. Thanks for the info Moochie I appreciate it.

I mentioned CV joint thinking you still have a OEM shaft. Is this what you have?

Yes, I found a video on exactly what I need to replace, thanks to the info you gave me. I had a feeling it was some kinda joint, but didn't know what it was called, or how serious it is. I appreciate the help and info. Thanks again.

If you replace the joint, it will fail again. Your drive line angle is too steep. Upgrade to a u-joint style shaft, they deal with steeper angles better.

Yes it is.

WJCO couldnt have said it better. Any lift over 3inches will lead to premature cvjoint failure.
