I'm working on changing my axel gear oil. So i did what project jk.com thread said.

First i worked on rear one. i waited till to stop the oil dropping.. But it was go forever.. So i waited like 20-30 minutes and i just filled it up.. And when i filled second bottle of oil(one bottle is 1 quart) it already filled up.. So is it ok?

Second.. When i closed the fill
Hole.. It is really stuck when i just tighten this much.. So do i have to force to do till end? ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1358994214.946460.jpg

A correct oil level is flush to the fill hole.

And tighten the plug to your feeling. The only thing that makes it hard to screw is the loctite on it, so just tight wisely :thumb:

Fill it to the hole. Make sure the bolt is tight, not as tight as you can but a nice firm torque, enough to make sure it wont come loose or leak out. Also, if you have Trac lok, your differential fluid takes a different kind. Call the local dealer, they will make sure you have the right oil.

Good luck
