2014 JKS Alpine Sub Rattle

Hello everyone,

I have been noticing a rattle in the back of my 2014 jk and it appears to the be the Alpine subwoofer. When the radio is off is when the sound is the most noticeable, so I don't think its the speaker itself but the housing. I removed the subwoofer and the rattle went away. But when I put it back in and the rattle followed.

Anybody else have a similar experience or any ideas to try?

Super glue? Need to find the rattle first. Sit back there and have someone drive around.

Have you ever removed the sub box from your Jeep before? Could be that it wasn't reinstalled correctly.

I spent $10 and put Dynamat in the inside of my sub box and that seemed to help especially when the bass was up.

It could also be something rattling around in the storage cubby back there. Make sure you clean that all out when you're doing your rattle test. Take the floor panel out, the cubby, any misc parts so it's just bare floor and the sub.

Messed around with it all day today. Ended up putting a microfiber rag under the sub where is meets the tub and tighten the bolts down on it. So far sound has gone away
