I just cut off my 4" Teraflex longarm and had the new Savvy Mid Arm kit installed. Night and day difference. Best suspension available for a TJ. It came out a few months ago and they're having trouble keeping up with production.

Don't get a longarm kit if you want to play on the rocks.

Does anybody make a lift for the TJ that would ride equivalent to the EVO plush rides? I know ride quality is subjective but many here know the EVO coils and get what I'm looking for, preferably in the 3 to 3.5 inch range. 99 Wrangler already has a sye so that's not a concern, just a really old suspension that rides like a buckboard.

You're saying lift kit, but referring to springs. The springs and shocks are not really related to the kit other than height.

That said, I suggest the Currie springs.

You are correct, I meant the coil springs. I know long arms will help.

Long arms will not help if you want to do some rock crawling. Long arms will kill your clearance. The best kit available now is the Savvy Mid Arm kit that came out a few months ago. I just had my Teraflex long arm kit cut off and put on the Savvy kit.

LOL!! That is about the stupidest thing I've heard all day. First off, Gadget was asking about "RIDE QUALITY" - NOT "rock crawling" and this is where long arms will shine. They WILL correct your suspension geometry when lifted tall enough and that alone will improve your ride on pavement and when driving hard and fast across the desert. As far as clearance goes, clearly you were running tires that were way too small for your long arms and that's why you felt as though they robbed you of it. Of course, if I were running a TeraFlex kit, I'd want to cut them off for something different too. Glad to hear you're happy with your Savvy kit.

Properly setup long arms shouldn't get hung up either. If they're set up properly they should slide over the rock, then slide the skid plate, and then the rear control arms. There shouldn't be anything hanging down that could hang them up.

There is no way to setup a LA system without losing clearance. So you're going to get stuck more often no matter how it's 'set up'. If rock crawling is your priority, you will want to avoid a LA setup. If you are not rock crawling and like flying over sand dunes, sure get the LA.

Bullshit. Picking good lines with any setup will be more helpful. As far as getting stuck, we all do from time to time. As far as longarms causing that, not true. There's nothing on the arm to catch the rocks. But hey, you're the expert here, so I'd better quit posting and read your book instead. I've got a lot to learn.

Your JKU has a longer wheelbase, more critical in a TJ. If you look at most of the LA systems for a TJ, you'll see that harsh drop in the rear. That's the area you will get stuck the most in a TJ. JKU is not as bad of a drop because the arms have a longer distance. Still going to lose some clearance though.

Care the explain how a WJ isn't as good as a XJ? WJs have coils in the rear which provides better flex out of the box, had slightly more power out of the I6 and have a V8 option, the unibody was much stiffer then the XJs also.

Right, because it's always best to put a control arm on a rock instead of your tires. Of course, even if your control arm did hit a rock, there's no way it could ever slide on it. I mean, the math is all there.

Jeepforum is the best for TJ's. Mostly JK people here that are forced to drink Eddie's cool aid or be subject to abuse and his usual douche bag attitude. Next time I see him I'm just going to bitch slap him and laugh. :yup:

Fuck off back to your other forums.

Who said I didn't like it? Occasionally, there's useful info on here. Just not without attitude from the leader guy. Some of you are entertaining.

Well I don't think you're welcomed here anymore, so why don't you leave and not come back. Mkay?

You mentioned Forum Police. Well I am one. Keep up that kind of talk, and see what can happen.

Please keep talking that way. I love it when these guys post up everything about you and find out that you live with your mom and make you look (more) stupid.

It always makes me laugh when all of a sudden you realize your not some anonymous tough guy and back peddle like the bitch you are.

Anyone remember the jewellery store guy? I laughed and laughed .... then put my tin foil hat on....

Another internet badass, and this time with friends to hold him back. Thank God because I have a feeling Eddie was trembling. I know I am, especially since I've been one of those forum police for almost a decade.

Ah makes sense. I remember the Riverside crazy talk when my wife and I lived in LA and San Diego. It's a bit out in the boonies :)

Yeah. If you look closely, there's some really coarse gravel there behind your RF tire that is hung up on you lower long arm. Hope you brought a mobile welder and a short arm kit so you can make it home tonight.

:cheesy: Right, because the only way anyone would agree with or like a guy like me and not a well known rockstar like you, is if they were somehow drugged by force

I dont get why these shitheads continue to come on here and spew their anti-Eddie and anti-WOL bullshit..

I don't know of any other guy as famous and experienced as Eddie who will help anyone on the forum and answer anyone's questions... all the other douchenozzle forums have a higherarchy that smugs at "lesser" Jeeps...
