Driver side front/side marker light not working.

Noticed that my driver side front and side markers are not working. I found that the wires had some damage, showing exposed copper. I cut and spliced them back together, but nothing changed. My turn signal still functions so I don't believe it's a bulb issue, and the side marker bulb doesn't appear to be damaged either. Fuses are good too. Any suggestions?

Shot in the dark guess - but maybe those exposed wires caused a short and burnt out the bulb?

** Derp just read the bottom half.

Possible the wire is frayed further down the line?

Shoot the wires with a multimeter for continuity and short to ground. Corrosion could cause high enough resistance to lead to a failure. Maybe check fuses? Blown fuse could mean a short somewhere. I'm not very familiar with what's fused in the jk because I have not had to deal with it yet. So these are just spit ball ideas.
