New leak detection pump 2014 jk

I got the dreaded p0456 CEL.... new gas cap and now leak detection pump. My cel is still on but my evic is now just displaying dashes instead of a code. Does anyone know if the pcm temporarily stores the code even though it sees no current faults?

Mine also did that. Run it for a couple hundred miles. It should clear if that was the issue. Or disconnect that battery to reset it and run it to see if it comes back on.

Thanks... that's what I figure. Ill run it for a week or so and hopefully the ldp I replaced fixes the issue and the code clears itself
