Caught the Bug
I just wanted to give you all a heads up. I run a Teraflex Double Cardan front driveshaft and an aFe "Y" pipe. After 5,000 miles I blew out the u-joints in the double cardan badly. Turns out after working with Joe at Teraflex that when the "Y" pipe was relocated it put it about 3-4" away from the double cardan. The heat from the "Y" pipe completely melted the grease out of the u-joints thus causing the failure. I had to completely rebuild the driveshaft.
The solution is to fab a heat shield to protect the double cardan joint from the "Y" pipe. Thought I would share this so others can avoid these issues.
