Custom cage

I finally got my cage built last summer and here it is.

DOM tubing being delivered for cage build. All USA made DOM


Stripped and ready to start the cage


Jig for tube alignment since I will be reusing the factory tops.


Factory tubing removed. I was surprised how heavy the jk tubes are, least lot stronger then, CJs and TJs


A,B,C,D plate welded to tub. I don't have pics of the underside of the tub.


More to come.

D pillar. One tube goes straight through behind the tail light and the other one is sandwiched between plates and welded to frame.

Some of the gussets double as tie downs

. Windshield mount point

. Rear seat mount and cross bar for hardness and tire mount.

very impressive ! Did you duplicate all the tubes ? Im in for the extra !!!:crazyeyes: Def would pay good money to have one built like that :clap2: :thumb:

. Enough room for a custom rear center console to match my tuff front. It will house my sub, power outlet, inverter, and couple cup holders

. This is how my spare will look.
. This is the removable spare mount.
. This will be the location for custom sound bar
. I'm thinking maybe this could be another location for speakers?

Thanks. I've been wheeling for many yrs and I've seen what happens with poor cage design or lack of. This should protect passengers for may of the toughest trails but it's not done yet. Once my engine swap is done I'm looking at caging in the engine and possible incorporating the shock towers.

Yes all but the A pillar. I gave the fabricator my requirements but left the design up to him. He's probably considered one of the best fabricators in the DC metro area and has built many rigs for KOH.
