2017 JKU Manual HVAC Recirculation mode does not stay on

JK has the manual A/C controls (non-automatic climate control). Recirculation mode turns off after about 15 minutes. Owners manual was no help. Is this normal?

Sorry tony but I have never heard of something like that happening.

I think I figured it out. It only happens in mix (defrost mode). This is normal. Stays in recirculation while in panel, bi-level and floor mode. Going to test again in defrost mode to verify later today. :crazyeyes:

Think that's a 'safety feature' to ensure the windows don't fog up and impede vision when on defrost mode. Should stay on when in other modes like you said.

My '16 turns off in defrost mode as well. I also seems to randomly turn off while the Jeep is off, i.e. it was on when i parked and turned off the Jeep but when I come back and crank up I have to turn the recirculate back on.

^^this. You'll probably find it does it eventually in other modes as well to ensure you're getting enough fresh air.
