Cold Idle Issues

When I start my 2009 Jeep cold such as in the mornings or after I get off work 6 out 10 times the Jeep has idle issues.
When the Jeep comes off of high idle it will start shaking like a dog for 10-15 seconds and then it will smooth out
and never do it again until the engine has completely cooled down.

My GMC has done this and the mass air flow sensor was dirty,so I went out to clean the one on my Jeep only to
discover it does not have one.Anyone experienced this problem?

Cleaned everything up yesterday and this morning perfect idle and then when I got off work rough idle when it comes off high idle.

Any other ideas what could be causing this?

Sounds like a bad IAC. Could be a TPS sensor too. Tricky thing is either of those may not set codes when acting up.

My 08 did the same thing, tried cleaning everything really good... Nada, replaced the IAC valve, bam no more issues. Not saying that's what is going on with yours but it was a relatively cheap and easy fix.

you can also try cleaning the existing one.

it wasn't too difficult to remove, just make sure you put something under it to catch the screws in case you drop them... ask me how I know :doh:
