Help me decide on a lift

I had my heart set on 3inch plush evo coils and rancho 9000 shocks. I came across the new rancho sport 2inch lift and it is a little cheaper and more within my budget. I'm currently running a RC 2.5 lift with their springs and shocks which nets me 3inchs. I'm looking for a softer ride which is why I was going with the plush evo coils but would I get the same from the rancho coils? What would be the biggest drawback from going down an inch in lift? I'm not going any higher than 35s with flat fenders and only offroad lightly.
