Just recently had my 2016 JKU gears done. I have about 2,400 miles on the new gears when I reach 45 mph I have a winning humming sound it has done it from the beginning. Is this normal 4.88 gears

Not with that many miles I don't think... did a reputable shop do the work? Is there warranty?

Break in period is 500. Shouldn't be making any noise.
Either the pattern isn't right, or you need to change the gear oil.
It should be changed right after the break in.

Ok I will change the oil tomorrow. Was a local shop with good reviews that had done three of my buddies jeeps.

Gears are too tight if they are whining. That is a sign of shoddy work. either they didnt check, didnt care, or didnt know what they are doing. All 3 are terrible considering you paid money. :banghead:
