D44 Gear torque

Hello,

A quick search did not turn up any definitive answers, but I need to confirm that the rear axle in my 2013 JK sport is a "Dana 44 JK" and not a "Dana 44." I pulled the ring gear off the carrier and installed an Aussie locker. The torque for the ring gear bolts is drastically different for the 2 types of axles I mentioned. If anyone has removed and replaced a ring gear on the rear 44, I would be curious to know the torque value you used and see if it differs at all from what I have. Thanks in advance!

Yes it's a JK dana 44. A quick search showed 135ft lbs for the rear ring gear.

Ok, that's what I have. Just wanted to confirm because 135 ft lb is so much more then 55 ft lb on a regular d44. Thanks.

Probably because the new Generation Dana 44 on the JK pinion diameters are bigger than the original Dana 44's
