Just curious but has anyone heard of putting this engine into a wrangler? I was talking to a guy a few weeks ago and he said that he has swapped a few into JK's. I'm curious because you can get them for relatively cheap and they seem to last forever, they also seem to have more power than a 3.6

Will it interface with the FCA electronics, like a Motech conversion?

Are you sure of the number? Thats an old 5 cylinder turbo from what I can find which would be a problem in itself in most states.

That's a really old non electronic diesel that makes very little power stock and leaks like crazy.

You'd be better off with a OM612 or OM642. You should be able to bolt these up to the WA-580 auto.
