Starter issues

I don't know if I put this on the correct spot, so my apologies if I didn't. I tried searching the forums with no luck, and there doesn't seem to be a good instructional online. I have a 3.8 in my jk, I am trying to remove my starter. I've tried multiple options to remove the top bolt, but nothing will get into that tight space. Does anyone have any advice ?

I used a fine tooth ratchet and played with different socket extensions until I could break it loose.
