2.5 TF Lift Rubbing Question

I am getting ready to order a TF 2.5 inch coil/shock lift. I saw that it recommends wheel spacers. Is it possible to run this kit with 285/70 on stock 17's without wheel spacers?

I know if you go with a tire 12.5 wide you need them but think your 11" tire should be fine. Some one will chime in then to confirm me being right or wring.
