Resetting flashcal to use on a another jeep

Has anyone tried resetting the superchips flashcal and using it on a different jeep?

I am upgrading to a TD2. so I am giving the superchips flashcal to a friend.

If you return your vehicle to stock, it should unlock the VIN lock to your vehicle, and free it to be used on someone else's jeep. You will know when you plug it in to the second vehicle, if it has been unlocked it will allow you to change settings, if it is still locked to your vehicle it will say so, when you connect to vehicle 2.

You have to restore your Jeep back to stock and you are good to hand it of to your friend

Just return it to stock and it should reset however if your friends vehicle isn’t within the years for that flash cal then it will say locked to vehicle that happen to me and I was like wha ???
