Coolant OAT color

This has probably been answered before, but I couldn’t find anything specific on the searches. I have a 2017 JKU and I noticed my coolant is a little below the minimum line. Picked up the purple OAT stuff from the dealership. They said OAT is all they use now. When I was about to top off my coolant it looked like it was a reddish orange when I shined the flashlight in there so I decided not to add anything. Service is coming up in another 800 miles so thinking I might wait. Any tips would help on this. Thanks.

The purple fluid shines orange/red when you shine a flash light into it. It’s disconcerting for sure, but I’m sure the OAT is correct. Shine the flash light into the bottle of fluid when you get it and it will look orangish.

Thanks for the links and the responses. I poured some of the purple stuff into an empty water bottle and it looked purple. Shined a light into it and it looked like a dirty orange color just like what was already in the jeep.
