Jump Starter Solenoid JKU2013

I have a 2013 JKU, unfortunately I drilled through a wiring harness while installing PSC turning lights in my inner fender on the passenger side. I think there's 9 wires that I reconnected and soldered together. The connection lasted for about 3 months..however there's been some recent failures.

Pretty sure my starter is one of them. I'd like to start the jeep and drive it over to a warehouse where I can work on reconnecting and properly sealing the wires.

I've examined the starter and the solenoid, and I can't seem to find the positive terminal on the solenoid. Also, there's no exposed connector between the solenoid and the starter. All there is, is a negative bolt and a plastic plug......

Does anyone know how to jump start this specific starter?

what a mess!

those new starters have a plug, not sure which wire would be the positive.

I do know you have to have the key in the on position to jump the starter.

Maybe pull the starter so you can get a better look at it - or go to an auto parts store to look at the replacement

Sorry couldn't be much more help

Thanks for the reply.

You're correct, it does have to be set to the run position.

I was hoping someone new how to jump start one of there new starters.

Looks like I'm going to have to get it towed.
