Help identifying a sensor

Looking for some help here. Our 16 year old daughter decided she wanted to follow in my footsteps and buy a JKU as her first vehicle. She found a 2008 JKU Sahara with just over 100K miles. It runs good, no issues that I have seen or noticed when I ride in it. We got her new LED headlights for Christmas and when I was putting them in tonight I noticed some cut wires tucked under the fuse box. The wire goes into some plastic romex then into something flat that looks like it is heat resistant and is attached to a sensor I'm guessing on the passenger side of the engine. I've circled the sensor in question. Can anyone tel me what this sensor might be and where to reconnect the wires? Any help is much appreciated! 2008 JKU1.JPG 2008 JKU2.JPG 2008 JKU3.JPG

Just looking at the cord itself, I'd have to guess it's the engine block heater.

Awesome thanks! I looked online and that is what it looks like. Makes sense being that it was originally from Canada. Thank you very much WJCO! :thumb:

I'm still learning about all the ins and outs of our Jeeps.
