Bad front axle seal?

The inner C of the passenger side front axle has been wet for some time. I just recently noticed it has gotten worse. Are the little seals that come out with the axle shaft bad? Or is it the seal inside the pumpkin that’s gone bad?

The 'seal' that you can currently see isn't a seal at all. It's just a little dust cover thingy. The actual axle seal is inside the housing. You have to remove the differential carrier to change it. As already stated, it could be a bent housing.

I think the axle seals you are talking about are the guides. The little plastic pieces on the end of the shaft guide the axle in to prevent it from pushing out the seal.
