Tire carrier.

I have been running my new gy duratrac 35" tire with my stock spare tire setup for 2 1/2 months now. I installed the MBRP spare tire reinforcement with smittybilt adjustable mount and it has yet to show any problems. I was just wondering if anyone had pics or a story about why this is not ok.

check your welds on all the seams of the tailgate. Theres been cases where they break or crack from the stress of the added weight

are you running stock spare tire???or 35" tire on the stock spare mount???
are running stock spare and lockers????

IMO it's not the weight that destroys the gate but the shaking of the tire. If its sitting tight against the bump stops, you should be fine for a while.
