Thoughts on diff covers with raised fill plugs.

Friend is trading his Rubicon off and is willing to give me his Riddler diff cover for free if I swap them out. Fill plug is higher than stock. He "just filled it until it poured out, 40,000 miles ago". Any thoughts on overfilling these 44's.

I have done it before in full floaters and had them last 300k with no problems but have no experience with these.

It may just blow through your vent tube. If that’s clogged bad it can blow through your axle seals.

The negative really is the gear oil needs the air in the pumpkin to help cool it. More fluid the hotter it may get. That’s a longevity issue.

Cheers.
