JKU Rev limiter

Another newbie question for you guys. On my last trail ride I was told that when you're in 4-low that the rev limiter on the engine is disabled??

That really doesn't make sense to me..........anyone know if this is accurate...???

Never heard that one. I don't like to test the rev limiter anyhow.

I know for a fact in 4L on a 2014 model anyway you can go past redline now whether the rev limiter is like 8000 that is entirely possible. My buddy romped his throttle to the floor in his 2014 and the gas pedal got stuck some how behind his weather tech floor Matt and I was in the passenger seat. We thought she was going to come apart before he freed the gas pedal. It did not do the bumpity bump off a limiter like what I am used to on motorcycles it just was reving like crazy. I should mention we were stuck at the time and he wanted to spin the tires to clean them out.
