Had a dealership tell my daughter that there was dye coming out of her AC compressor, never heard of that before. What does that mean and is it a problem? She says the AC works fine.

If it’s true then that means there is a leak and eventually her ac will no longer get cold. The dyes are usually bright green and show up well with a UV light. You could confirm yourself.
