I've had the code flash for loose fuel cap before, but this isn't it - this indicates a much more dangerous situation. A "gross" leak. Not sure where to start looking, other than enitire fuel system and monitoring decvices. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Going with the shotgun approach...

Getting new evap canister, purge valve, leak check pump and filter.

It’s tuff to say this code can be cause by more than a few things, might start with checking sensor connections and looking for visible cracks in connections

I'd do what it says. Check the fuel filler neck and all connections. Sensors too. Shotgun is never good because you never find out what the problem was.

I'm of the opposing view... Shotgun is acceptable when the price is not prohibitive, the goal is to solve the problem and you really don't care about the cause. Plus, I'm at 100k miles and routinely replace original parts when suspect. But, that may be just me.
