Rear Back Up Camera Help

Hooked
Hey! I am a recent Jeep owner. Done quite a few little things here & there but from driving it around, I've realized that a back up camera would be nice. I found this one https://www.infotainment.com/products/07-17-jeep-wrangler-backup-camera-kit?variant=3843959297 but I'm not sure if I need to also purchase the C-RVC Programmer? I currently have the stock Garmin navigation system that came with the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited.

Thanks in advance!

No you don’t need to buy the programmer. You can have the dealer flash the system to enable the camera. Some dealers charge some do it for free.

Caught the Bug
There's a writeup on this that I'll try to find. Bottom line is that you need a $10 camera, an adapter cable for the head unit, and as mentioned, a dealer flash to tell the nav unit it has a back up camera in it. Hardware is about $30. My dealer charged $150 for the flash.

The magic words for the jeep technician are to flash for the "parkview back up camera", which is a factory add on for other dodge vehicles.

Here's the harness you need: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500HR...L7mipJmfO3F8yMOo-lRACq7IIfkWUN7UaAtFTEALw_wcB

Then find a cheap back up camera on amazon. I tapped power from the passenger tail light wiring. You can feed the wires down through the rubber grommet in the in-floor storage bin.
