So had an accident, front driver wheel decided to come off while driving. Replaced the rotor and studs. Only visible damage I saw. The issue I'm having now is the brake lights won't turn off. Getting codes
P0138 1/2 025 shortened to voltage
B1648 rear right turn lamp control circuit high
B1644 rear left turn control high
Any thoughts?

Did you check your ABS sensors around where the damage occurred ?

Here is the sensor, looks like it may have been pinched? Also the E. S. C. Light comes on after a few minutes of driving 20180624_204002.jpg

Figured it out. Switch came loose at the top of the brake pedal.

might go ahead and get a replacement switch to have on hand.

I had similar thing happen where the switch came loose and after about a week it failed - the piece that clips it in place must have been cracked because it had broken off.

Luckily I was able to get to the auto parts store before they closed.

Of course it failed at night, but easy to notice because the brake lights stay on! :thumb:

That's not a bad idea. I'll grab one later today and keep it just in case.

Well good advice to pick up the extra switch. Probably should have just replaced it because it failed again today. Pulled it out completely and the push button was sticking inside. Cheap fix, think it was about $15.
