hey all,

Went off roading this weekend and hit a big rock hard. Battery icon came up in the dash. A little later, turned the jeep off. First time i tried to turn it back on, it didnt want to. Made a clicking sound like when the battery is drained. Tried a second time and it started no problem. This morning was driving to work and all the electronics shut off and turned back on again. Popped open the hood and saw this.

The green wire seems to have something melted on top and the negative battery connector seems like its comming loose. Any ideas to whats causing this?

It sounds let me your battery terminals need to be cleaned and then retighten everything. That’s not that uncommon after bouncing the rig around on the trails. I can’t tell from picture what’s going on with the cable. Check to see if the plastic insulation is peeled back and make sure the copper wire is not frayed.
