wheel spacers

Hi guys,
So I've been told wheel spacers can mess up the wheel hubs which I'm slowly seeing because its been my 2nd wheel hub already... so my question is should i just take off the spacers and cut the inner fender metal by the step area or just buy some brand name spacers like Spidertrax (don't know if brand name wheel spacers will make a difference) i currently have spacers off eBay. thanks all advice is appreciated

Spacers or low backspaced rims will always add more stress to the bearing, especially with 40s. Just the nature of the beast.

40’s on stock axles and you are running spacers. you are really wondering why your hubs are failing?

Brand of spacer won't affect the stress on the hubs.

Except when the cheapo ones break and the wheel flies off, stress on the hubs will be relieved.

Stress relief spacers...good idea.:hmm:

Low back spaced wheel or spacers act like a lever on the hub. Longer lever more stress.
